The organisation supports the entitlement by all individuals, without discrimination to enjoy the range of full range of human rights. The promotion and protection of human rights features as one of the key objectives of the organisation. 

The People’s Matrix Organisation’s aims and objectives are:

• To advocate and lobby for the political, sexual, cultural and economic rights of people with diverse sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression in Lesotho.
• To eradicate stigma and discrimination on the bases of SSOGIE in Lesotho.
• To build and strengthen voices and visibility through research, media and literature and through full participation in local and international fora.
• To build a strong and sustainable community of people with diverse orientations, gender identity and gender expression in Lesotho supporting the development of national organisations working on the same issues in Lesotho and internationally.
• To represent the interests of people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identity and gender expression.
